Cheesy Taco Pasta


 

1 lb ground beef
1 pkg taco seasoning
8 oz your choice of pasta, I used rigatoni
1 cup Colby Jack cheese
1 cup heavy whipping cream (or Half n' Half)
1 cup pasta water

Cook pasta according to package instructions, adding a couple pinches of salt.

Brown the ground beef and prepare taco meat according to package instructions.

When pasta has about 5 mins left, sprinkle cheese on the taco meat and allow it to melt. Then add cream, stirring well. Add pasta water just before the pasta is done. Stir well and turn heat to medium. Drain pasta and add to taco meat mixture. Cook an additional 3 minutes and serve up. You can add more cheese when serving.
